African American Museum Los Angeles

The African American Museum Los Angeles exhibits African American cultural history and art in California and the West. Many art pieces have been donated by prominent African American art collectors. The paintings and sculptural art pieces are exceptionally beautiful and very artistic.

The African American Museum features permanent art collections by 20th century African American artists, and other works of art that documents the lifes of African Americans through the Emancipation and through the 20th century in the western part of United States, and especially California.
The museum exhibits art of California artists that are African Americans.

There are many cultural, educational and musical events held at the Los Angeles African American Art Museum on the first Sunday of every month, throughout the year.
The admission is free. Parking is $6. The African American Museum in Los Angeles is located at the Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles.
