The Beverly Terrace Hotel

496 N. Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills. Phone: (310)274-8141. A very pleasant boutique hotel in a great location. Complimentary continental breakfast served by the pool every morning.

457 S. Mariposa Avenue, Midtown Los Angeles. A 47 room motor motel with easy access to Downtown Los Angeles. Phone: (800)325-2525.

The Farmers Daughter Hotel

115 S. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles. Phone: (323)937-3930. A great smaller hotel accross from Farmers Market and the famous Grove shopping center.

The ouside looks a little avant garde, but the place is actually very chic. This is my best pick for cheap hotels in Los Angeles, based on location and price.

There is a coffee shop attached to the hotel. But there are lots of restaurants within 5 minutes walking. You can't beat this location and the price! From $129 per night.

Holiday Inn Burbank

150 E. Angeleno, Burbank. Phone:(800)315-2621. If you are looking for the best places to stay in Southern California with children, Holiday Inn can't be beat for cheap hotels in Los Angeles. Kids stay free and eat free. How great is that! They have several locations, I just happen to love this location in the heart of the Burbank Village and close to major studios, such as Warner Brothers and Universal Studios. Jay Leno and NBC is on Olive Street not far away. If you like a different Holiday Inn location, just call for reservation.

Best Western Sunset Plaza HoteL

The Great Room At Orbit Hotel And Hostel

7950 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood. Phone: (877)672-4887. This place is for the younger crowd. It's an ultra cheap place to say in a very safe area. Dorm-style rooms with a few private rooms with private baths available. www.orbithotel.com
