The Beautiful City Of Laguna Beach!

Are you dreaming of a Laguna Beach California Vacation and are looking for Laguna Beach Vacation Rentals or a Hotel in Laguna Beach? Laguna Beach is thought of as the best beach town in Southern California.

There are lots of vacation rentals available in Laguna, such as The Inn At Laguna Beach, one of my own favorite places to stay.

If you are looking for a Laguna Beach Resort, the ultra luxurious Montage Laguna Beach resort and spa is fabulous.

Then there is the posh Ritz Carlton Laguna Beach, with its bluff top location overlooking the ocean. I lived not far from this hotel for years, and used to stroll over for afternoon tea or lunch. It's a great place to visit, even if you don't stay there.

There are many affordable accommodations available also, if you are more budget minded, and who isn't.

The family friendly Vacation Village Laguna Beach Ca is very popular with young families. They offer vacation packages to save you money on lodging. All of these Laguna Beach lodgings are located right on the beach, so they are very convenient,

Scenic Views Of Laguna

Laguna Beach California is best known for it's Laguna Art Festival and the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival.

However, the Laguna Beach TV Show, a reality show with Famous Cast Members, has put an even higher spotlight on this charming Southern California beach community.

I lived in South Laguna for many years, so I really know this town well. I think it's the most charming beach town in Southern California.

The Main Beach in Laguna

As you enter the town, you instantly feel you have come to a very exceptional and special place. When I first laid eyes on Laguna Beach years ago, I fell in love with this place, and I am still in love. There are no cookie cutter homes here, every building in this town is unique.

Entering Laguna from Coast Highway

Laguna is built on and around beautiful ocean bluffs that separate the beach into distinct areas. Some areas are excellent for swimming and other beach areas are great for snorkeling or surfing. Deep sea diving is also a very popular here. They even dive for Abalone here.

Laguna Beach Activities

The Main Beach in Laguna is where a most people hang out during a warm Southern California day. It's a small cozy beach that's perfect for families with small children. There is a very popular volley ball court on the north side of the beach.

All the beaches in Laguna are Marine Reserves, so this place is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as surfing. Surf body boards are available for rent at Hobies Sports on 294 Forest Avenue. Just a half block from the beach.

Heisler Park Laguna

Heisler Park is a wonderful place for strolling, ocean-viewing or jogging. Its location on a bluff overlooking the beaches and the ocean makes this my favorite walking spot in Laguna. This is where you walk to my favorite restaurant, the Las Brisas, for lunch or dinner.

There are lots of great Beach Front Hotels and charming Bed and Breakfast Inns in Laguna to choose from for lodging accommodations.

Here are a few of my favorite that I recommend because of price, location and service.

My very favorite place to stay in Laguna is at The Inn at Laguna Beach. I just love the place! It's a smaller boutique hotel and it's location right on the beach with gorgeous ocean views that are fantastic. And it's only a short stroll to my favorite Laguna Beach Restaurants. You never have to use your car when staying at The Inn. You can walk to everything!

Another favorite hotel of mine is the oldest hotel in Laguna Beach, the Hotel Laguna. Built in the 1920's when the City of Laguna Beach was founded, it's a charming beach front hotel with a World class resturant and Beach Terrace Cafe. It has it's own private beach area with lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels provided, as well as food service at the beach.

Laguna Beach Restaurants

Of course the town is loaded with high quality dining places to suit any apetite. But the Laguna Beach restaurant that I am most fond of is the Las Brisas Restaurant The delicious food and the ocean view patio dining is hard to beat.

Another place that I always eat at when in Laguna Beach California is the Oceanfront Terrace Restaurant at Hotel Laguna. I usually meet my friends there for lunch. It's just an enchanting place, fantastic ocean views and first class food. What more could you want!

I must also mention Wahoo's Fish Taco Restaurant at 1133 S. Coast Highway. Fantastic Fish Tacos. You'll love them!

The shops on Forest Avenue and Coast highway are really special. You will not find much turist junk here. There are many high quality boutiques and classy art galleries and jewelry stores to browse and shop in. Lot's of locally made arts and crafts to buy in this town.
