Leo Carrillo State Beach

Best California State Beach Near Los Angeles !

Leo Carrillo State Beach Park is one of Los Angeles County's best beaches.

The scenic Leo Carrillo beach is great for swimming and surfing. Kid friendly tide pools for kids to explore, as well as cliff caves, is what you'll find here. A great beach for family camping close to Los Angeles.

The Leo Carrillo Park and beach is located 28 miles northwest of Santa Monica in Southern California.

It's a 1,600 acre beach park consisting of 3 seperate beaches and an inland portion. California Highway 1 (PCH) divides the beach from the inland portion.

There are 138 campsites for tents and RV's up to 31 feet long, 32 of those campsites are beachfront camps.

There are concrete pads for self-contained RV's under 8 feet high (to fit under the underpass).

The rest of the campsites are across the highway, in the scenic Arroyo Sequit Canyon, with native California oak trees.

The North Beach is not as crowded and more quiet, and it is also where the RV beachfront campground is located.

Yerba Buena Beach is the northern-most Leo Carrillo beach. Here you'll find the best surfing waves, which naturally attracts surfers. It's fun to watch them ride the waves.
