The Los Angeles ZooLos Angeles County Zoo and Botanical Garden !Plan to spend most of a day at the hilly 110 acre Los Angeles County Zoo located in the beautiful Griffith Park area of Los Angeles. The Zoo is home to more than two thousand animals, many in environments similar to their natural habitats. The LA Zoo is divided into five geographical areas that group animals by continents. In the African Zoo section you can observe monkeys, apes and zebraz, and even be able to ride on an elephant. In the Australian Zoo section you will find kangaroos and wallabies ineract in outside enclosures. White noctural koala bears are on display during the daylight hours indoor, in an exhibit that simulate nightime. The North American section of the Los Angeles County Zoo you will be able to observe seldom seen animals like the bison and mountain lion.

To get to the Zoo: Exit Ventura Freeway (134) eastbound at Victory Boulevard, turn right and follow the signs to the Zoo. Or Exit Golden State Freeway (5) at Zoo Drive and follow signs to the Zoo.
