ROCK'N FISH RESTAURANT: Seafood. This used to be the Hibachi restaurant for fourty years, so the new owners are continuing to serve some of the old signature dishes, such a the Navy Grog, Teriyaki Chicken, Sticky Rice and their Hibachi Dressing. We love the Oak grilled Archichoke, BBQ Shrimp and the Kapalua Ribeye Steak. Phone: 310-379-9900. Address: 120 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

MANGIAMO RISTORANTE: Italian. A Southern Italian restaurant serving mostly delicious seafood dishes. We adore their appetizers. My favorite is the Carpaccio, thinly sliced filet mignon, served raw with Dijon mustard sauce, capers and freshly shaved parmesan, and the crab crusted Sea Bass, served over Shrimp Risotto. Their fabulous Cioppino Alla Veneziana is also one of the dishes that stands out, as well as their Osso Buco, my husband's favorite, served with Polenta. Soo good!. Phone: 310-318-3434. Address: 128 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

THE KETTLE: American. A great upscale coffe shop we recommend for breakfast in Manhattan Beach, although they serve American cuisine for lunch and dinner. They are open 24 hours a day. They even have a good wine list, and serve beer as well. There is an enclosed patio for outside eating. Phone: 310-545-8511. Address: 1138 Highland Avenue.

PANCHO'S: Mexican. We have been going to Pancho's for many years, and we love the place. They serve up some of the best Mexican food from South of the Border. Their Quesadilla selection is awesome, as are the Ensaladas. We love their Tostada de Ceviche, the Burrito Carnitas Especial, and the Burrito del Mar. This is a great Mexican restaurant in Manhattan Beach that you'll enjoy. Phone: 310-545-6670. Address: 3615 Highland Ave.

CAFE PIERRE: California. A stylish bistro serving California style dishes with a few French influences. Our favaorite entres are filet mignon burgers, risotto crab cakes, pumkin ravioli, and grilled seafood. It's located one block form the beach. Full bar. Lunch and dinner. Phone: 310-545-5252. Address: 317 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

CHING GRILL: Chinese. Asian inspired dishes that can be shared. We love their lamb spare ribs, tempura sashimi, Szechwan beef and spicy tuna. It's a bustling restaurant with a chic contemporary decor. A very special Chinese restaurant in Manhattan Beach. Phone: 310-546-7284. Address: 3282 Sepulveda Blvd.

IL FORNAIO: Italian. Fresh baked bread on the premises daily. Pasta and flavorful sauces enhance the roasted meats and vegetables. This spacious Italian restaurant replicates the trattorias of Italy. Phone: 310-725-9555. Address: 180 Rosecrans Ave.

LA FOOD SHOW: American. One of the casual Manhattan Beach restaurants that offers rotisserie chicken, beef and seafood. They also serve wok dishes. We like the Bangkok stir-fry with chicken. Great sandwiches and salads are also on the menu. Full bar. Phone: 310-546-5575. Address; 3212 N. Sepulveda Blvd.
