The Natural History Museum Los Angeles California is a huge Los Angeles Museum with over three million specimens on display. It's the third largest Natural History Museum in the United States.

The Museums collection of pre-historic fossils, birds, insects and marine life is fantastic to say the least. The Museum of Natural History in Los Angeles even have a taxidermy exhibit that shows animals in details in their natural habitat in North America and Africa.
I really like this exhibit, very fascinating and educational. This is defenitely a Museum for kids, so if you are vacationing with children, give your kids a lesson in natural history by taking them to the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles.

Other fascinating exhibits features pre-Colombian works of art and a very interesting display of handmade things from the South Pacific.
There is also a large hall featuring the Native American cultures and the history of the very first humans living in Los Angeles.
The Discovery Center with hands on activities and exhibits for kids is a must for families with children. They will love it!
