CORONADO: often referred to as an island, it's actually an isthmus. Coronado is a place with wonderful neighborhood parks by the water, beautiful grand homes, and pristine beaches. The best way to get there is via the Coronado bridge, or you can board a ferry from the Embarcadero at the Broadway Pier. Also home to the famous landmark Hotel Del Coronado. A must see place! We love their spectacular Sunday Brunch. |
THE BEACHES: San Diego has some of the prettiest beaches in California. The Silver Strand on Coronado is wide and great for Rv's, while others such as Sunset Cliffs on Point Loma is narrow and rocky. Mission Beach and Pacific Beach are the most popular San Diego beaches, and connected by the Ocean Fron Walk. One of the best places for peole watching. The Ocean Beach is the hippiest San Diego community. We love the Coronado Beach, next to Hotel Del. |
LA JOLLA: this San Diego community reminds me of the French Riviera, with its beautiful curving coastline full of natural coves. The hillsides are covered with million dollar homes owned by the ultra rich from all over the World. La Jolla Village main streets are Prospect Street and Girard Avenue, which are lined with expensive boutiques, shops and restaurants. La Jolla Coves, one of major San Diego tourist attractions, is a must see place. |
