It's a gorgeous boutique hotel right on the beach with a fabulous ocean view patio that's perfect for a Southern California hotel wedding reception.

We also like the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, with stunning ocean view rooms and great service. I loved having breakfast on their outdoor patio overlooking the beach and the ocean.

Just next door to The Shutters is the historic fabulously luxurous Casa Del Mar Santa Monica hotel. Even if you don't stay there, do yourself a favor and have lunch or dinner at their ocean view hotel dining room. We also love their ocean view bar with comfy sofas to sip cocktails while taking in the sunset.

The Loews hotel is located next to the Santa Monica Pier which is great for families with kids. It can be noisy for some rooms, so ask for a room further away from the pier if you are concerned about noise.

The Georgian Hotel is a historic Santa Monica hotel that's been completely restored to it's Art Deco grandeur.

It features beautiful ocean views. We love their front terrace overlooking the ocean, where you can have breakfast, or watch the stunning sunsets while sipping a cocktail or having dinner.

Hotel Oceana is also on our favorite Santa Monica Hotels list. It has 70 hotel rooms, some with kitchens. There is a heated outdoor pool, exercise room and a spa.

The great Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica is on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Ocean Ave. It's also called the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.

The 10 story hotel has been totally renovated, and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It it's also within walking distance to the popular Third Street Promenade shopping and dining street. Airport and area transportation is available.
