The wooden pier at the west end of Colorado Boulevard in Santa Monica, has undergone several transformations since it first opened in 1909.

One of the oldest pier attractions is still a favorite, the hand carved wooden carousel in the historic Looff Hippodrome building that was memorialized on film with Paul Newman, as its operator, in the movie "The Sting".

The Lobster Santa Monica. This fantastic seafood restaurant, my favorite by the way, is located at the begining of the pier. It offers validated parking. Fabulous views of the ocean and beaches and the best seafood you could possibly have. Enjoy!

At the recently rebuilt amusement park, the Pacific Park, you can ride the giant Ferris wheel for a panoramic view of the Southern California Coastline, or ride the West Coaster roller coaster.
